No Games Thursday

That’s right guys! Due to Australia day on Thursday (26^th) there are no games! So rest up (or drink up) and we will see you the following Thursday (2^nd Feb)!

Beach touch

ONLY 8 DAYS LEFT TO NOMINATE YOUR TEAMS!!! So get to it and get your teams in!

We have two divisions on offer, Mens and Womens. $140 for a team to play.

Prizes for division winners is $250 and for fancy dress!

The formats for games are slightly different for the 2 divisions with women having 3 players on the field in attack and two in defence. Men having 4 players in attack and 3 in defense.

In terms of teams, individual teams have to decide how many players they would like to play with. Take into account, that while the games are short running on the sand is very labour intensive and there will be around 8 games played for each team.

Colley Reserve

Colley Reserve has come around again on Saturday Feb 18^th. This is a very fun carnival day competiton. This year they are emphasising social teams, so if you are interested in a fun day in the sun close to the beach please read the attached details about Colley. Highly recommended for all grades of touch! Last year we had a mixed team of National players and e grade players and everyone had a blast! (see facebook page for photos)

If you’re over 30 you can participate! Join or enter a team today! No matter what the skill level, just come along and have fun! It is held in Port Pirie this year!

State team fundraising

This year we have many members of AUTC who have been picked to represent SA in Touch at NTL’s (National Touch League). They are spread out in 2 teams, the womens opens and mixed opens. Congratz guys!

As such there is a significant cost to those going away for this awesome experience and so until they go away at the start of March we will be fundraising to help cover some of these costs. So over the next 6 weeks some support us in the BBQ’s that will be held.

There is also a Quiz night being held on Saturday night 18th of Feb at the Goodwood Community Centre! Come along and demonstrate your superior knowledge of useless facts! Tables of 10 for $10 per person. What an awesome night to be had for all! Flyer attached.

                They will also be holding a movie night fundraiser! Come to the Capri Theatre on the 10^th of Feb to watch A Few Good Men. $20 a ticket which includes the movie, soft drink or wine tasting and nibbles! Bargin! email me at prissichrissi@hotmail.com for more information.

We are nearly at the end of Summer season so save the date for the EOS event! In the past we have done lawn bowls and beach touch… what will it be this year?! Whatever it is it will be super fun!
