Greetings all

A number of important dates to put in the diary:

  • State Cup nominations - put your name down, trials are this weekend.
  • Winter End of Season Dinner  - October 9!
  • Todd v Gerry comp - October 24
  • AUTC AGM & BBQ - October 28
  • Minutes - AUTC June meeting minutes attached below

Thanks for reading, Jo

State Cup nominations

The Muster Day is this Sunday 5 September so it's time to stop procrastinating and add your name to the nomination list, if you haven't already done so.  If you cannot make it on Sunday but still want to be considered for a team, you still need to nominate yourself.

Head to this form to  ot

Winter End of Season Dinner

Unbelievably, it is that time of year again!  AUTC's premier event of the year will be held on Saturday 9 October at a venue to be advised.  The winter end of season dinner is a more formal affair than usual, with winter playing awards being handed out, along with club awards such as Best Club Person and the Fish Award.

Todd v Gerry comp

The Toddlers versus Geriatrics competition will be held on Sunday 24 October at a venue to be advised.  This is a fun mixed run around in the park followed by BBQ and drinks.  Can youth outstep-, out-run and out-score the slightly-less-youthful this year?

More details will be available in coming weeks.

AUTC AGM & BBQ

AUTC will conduct its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 28 October this year.  The AGM is where the committee is appointed and details about the state of the club are revealed.  All committee appointments will be declared open and any club member can nominate to be a part of the committee for the 2010-11 year.

I encourage all members to at least attend the meeting and show support for the amazing institution that is the only functional touch football club in South Australia.  Better yet, why not join the committee and play a part in shaping the club's future?

Committee members volunteer a small amount of time each month to attend a meeting, and help plan our touch and social events.  It's not hard, you do not have to be a touch pro, just have a desire to see this club succeed.  You could even end up with the honour of writing this digest!!  Only if you are very lucky though...

Many of our committee members invest a lot more time than the bare minimum in keeping AUTC moving forward, and they are a large part of what makes the club so great.  Attending the AGM is a way of thanking our hardworking committee (and non-committee in some cases) members, perhaps by finding a way to contribute ourselves.

AGM venue details will be revealed as the date looms.
