Trials for 2005 Australian University Games

If you speak to anyone who went to the Southern Uni Games last year in Geelong they will tell you they had an absolutely awesome time (and that was in Geelong!!!) This years UniGames are being held in Brisbane in the first week of mid-semester break. That is approximately 7-8 weeks away so we need to get a team in order!! TRIALS: Adelaide University will be holding trials for both its MENS and its MIXED side. These will occur on Sunday 7th August in the afternoon from 3-5pm at the Greenhill Rd fields. CANT MAKE TRIALS BUT WANT TO GO: As we are only having one trial, you need to let me know ASAP if you cant make the trial day so we can organise for someone to come out and watch you play during the week. IS IT SERIOUS? The emphasis will be on having fun, especially at night!! Having said that we will have a few training sessions and by the time we get over to Brisbane we will be competitive, but we wont be yelling at people for doing the wrong thing or trying to win it! IM NOT SURE IF I CAN AFFORD IT Following the trials (or even before the trials if anyone wants to contact me) we will organise a fundraising group to help raise funds, one thing we are already going to do is organise a quiz night for round week 6-7 of term 3. An initial date is Friday 9th September however this will be confirmed. You will be suprised how easy it is to fundraise money if you are organised and do things properly! AM I ELIGIBLE: You must be a current Adelaide University Student enrolled in the Second Semester with a valid Student ID Card!! Below is some essential UniGames information!!! Essential Information: Dates: Monday 26th September - Friday 30th September (meaning travel on Sunday 25th and return on Saturday October 2nd) Where: Brisbane Teams: Adelaide Uni can send a MIXED and a MENS side depending on numbers Costs: Approx. $300 for return flight; $150-200 for accommodation.
