Wanted: Players, Coaches, Referees, Selectors for the 2011 SA State Cup
After an absence from the Touch calendar since 2004, Touch Football South Australia will be holding the 2011 South Australian State Cup from Friday 28th – Sunday 30th October at the TFSA fields on Greenhill Rd., Eastwood.
What is the State Cup?
The following divisions will be offered subject to enough entries (four) being received:
*Junior mixed (Born after October 1, 1995)
* Men’s Open (No age requirement)
* Women’s Open (No age requirement)
* Women’s 27s (Born 1984 or before)
* Men’s 30s (Born 1981 or before)
*Senior mixed (Born 1976 or before)
Entry to the competition will be affiliate-based, with players representing those affiliates that they compete at during the Summer or Winter seasons. These teams are not club teams, they are aimed at being representative of all of the teams playing at Waite. There has already been expressions of interest in competing from teams around the state in both metropolitan and regional areas, so the event promises to be a new experience for all involved.
The Adelaide University Touch Association (AUTA) will be looking to enter teams in each division. Cost will work out to approx $40 per player, uniforms are supplied by AUTA.
